On engine ground runs, L/H magneto found out of limits. Initial findings show five housing screws missing and magneto separated. P/No: 10157158. TSO: 445 hours.

Engine driven fuel pump faulty. High-fuel flow with fuel pressure fluctuating + – 1psi. P/No: 62B26931. TSN: 30 hours.

RH engine No 1, No 2, No  and No 4 cylinders had glazing of the cylinder barrels. No 4 cylinder compression rings broken and oil control ring seized.

On final approach, pilot noticed low oil pressure. Oil cooler found cracked at the top tank weld seam. P/No: 1156031. TSN: 881 hours.

Lycoming O320E2D engine reciprocating—exhaust valve broken. SDR 510020919
In cruise pilot reported engine vibration and loss of power. No compression on #4 cylinder. Exhaust valve head had separated from stem, valve guide and exhaust flange cracked, piston damaged. All four cylinders replaced with complete cylinder kits.

Operator reported hard starting. Troubleshooting found L/H magneto starting spark retard to be 10 degrees late. Magneto replaced and tested serviceable. Fault is incorrect impulse coupling fitted at manufacture of magneto. P/No: 4371. TSN: 429 hours/29 months.

Operator reported hard starting. Troubleshooting found LH Magneto starting spark retard (impulse coupling) to be 10 degrees late or 10 degrees after top dead center. New replacement magneto sourced and installed, retard timing checked and found correct. Fault is incorrect Impulse coupling fitted at manufacture of magneto. P/No: 4373. TSN: 277 hours/26 months.
