CASA corporate system upgrade and outage notification

A number of CASA’s online systems will be unavailable from the close of business on Tuesday 30 June 2015 for up to five business days. It is anticipated that online services will restart from the opening of business on Wednesday 8 July 2015.

CASA apologises for the inconvenience caused by the unavailability of the systems but on completion it will enhance CASA’s service delivery across a number of systems available to aviation community participants:

  • CASA Self Service
  • Medical Records System
  • Service Difficulty Reporting
  • Delegate Management Notification System
  • Aviation Security Identity CARD (ASIC) & Aviation ID (AVID) processing
  • Pilot examinations.

Anyone who urgently needs any of these services during the time the online systems are unavailable should contact the relevant area within CASA.

The table below outlines affected systems during the upgrade, impact to users and relevant contact information.




Old Self Service Portal

  • The old portal will be permanently closed from 5pm eastern standard time 30 June

  • The new CSS system will be unavailable

Medical Records System (MRS)

  • New online medicals or submissions unavailable for pilots
  • Submissions will be accepted via email

Service Difficulty Reporting (SDR)

  • New online defect submissions unavailable
  • Submissions will be accepted via email or fax

Delegate Management Notification System (DMNS)

  • DMNS will be unavailable during the system outage for online submissions

  • New online submissions for security passes unavailable
  • All existing applications okay to continue processing
  • Submissions will be accepted via email or fax

  • Previously booked exams can be sat in the period
  • New exam bookings or changes to bookings will NOT be possible
  • Printing of PEXO place cards and KDRs will still be possible

  1. Aviation Worx has been promised for about a year to be back to where it was before “Soon”. When are we going to be able to have e-learning records available to company managers again?

    • Hi Ben, we’ve been advised that the functionality of accessing e-learning records in AviationWorx is still in the implementation phase. Once it has been fully implemented there will be communication to affected users.
