Registrations are now open for the 35th Aviation Law Association of Australia and New Zealand (ALAANZ) Conference—held in Canberra on 4-6 May 2016. This year’s conference theme is ‘Aviation and Government’ and aims to bring together key aviation industry players in both government and private sectors.
The program is ambitious, with sessions on a wide range of aviation law matters relevant to Australia, New Zealand and the Asia Pacific.
Conference organising committee chair Pat Hornby says attendees will find the program stimulating and thought provoking, with items of interest for aviation law specialists, general aviation industry, the insurance industry as well as in government and academia.
‘We’re conscious of the fact that while we are operating in a niche area of the law, the potential breadth of subject material for the conference is huge,’ says Hornby.
The speakers’ program is strong and diverse, comprising presentations from those in senior roles in government, private legal practice and industry. It also provides a unique opportunity for industry organisations looking to promote themselves to government.
The conference is being held at the on-trend QT Hotel in New Acton with the conference dinner at the Australian War Memorial, under the wings of WWI aircraft.
