Aircraft running rough on L/H Magneto, Impulse coupling spring found broken. Magneto Overhauled, including spring replacement.

PIREP: Excessive vibration in flight, back firing on ground during taxi. No. 3 cylinder fuel injector nozzle blocked. Injector nozzle cleaned. Fuel contamination check of filters carried out. Nil contamination found. Aircraft returned to service.

R/H Engine reported higher than normal oil temperature. R/H Vernatherm removed, retention spring found broken. Fault confirmed.
LYCOMING O320 A – ATA 8500 ENGINE RECIPROCATING – PISTON ENGINE – POWER LOSS. DR 611749770
Partial Engine Failure, RPM gradually reduced in flight after attempting to increase power. The maximum RPM available was 2100 RPM aircraft only able to climb 100-200 ft. / min. No 3 Cylinder both spark plugs u/s. 2 new plugs fitted. Ground runs and check flights c/o NFF.

Minor engine rough running noticed on climb, normal for level flight and descent. Nil faults found. Water drains and extensive ground runs carried out. NFF, aircraft returned to service.
LYCOMING O235 L2C – ATA 8500 ENGINE RECIPROCATING – CAMSHAFT – Defective. DR 611749787
Pilot reported reduced power on climb. Ground run c/o by LAME, lower RPM noted at full throttle. Compression test c/o satisfactory. External ins of engine c/o satisfactory. Oil filter inspected, small amount of metal contamination found. Suspected camshaft is the root cause. Engine declared u/s and replacement engine is being sourced.
