Pilot reported several occurrences of a violent tail kick/yaw during cruise. Leak check carried out, cylinders #3 & #4 found to have low compression. Both approximately 55/80 PSI. Cylinders removed for inspection.

Hard starting was reported when engine was hot. During the course of troubleshooting, both magnetos, harnesses and all spark plugs were renewed. Engine ground run performed, satisfactory.

Rough running in flight. R/H magneto dead cut. Magneto removed, inspection detected broken rotor shaft cam. After repairs, magneto refitted.

Engine was rough running and failed to develop full power or max RPM. Water contamination found in L/H carburettor after inspections. Fuel bowl removed. Serviceable fuel bowl fitted. Ground runs satisfactory.
