| Pilot felt vibration and loss of rotor dual tacho, landed immediately. On inspection, Hall effect senders found damaged with excessive pinion shaft movement. Inspection found large amounts of ferrous material on chip detector as well. | ||

| At 100-hour inspection, there was metal on the MRGB chip pug. The light had not been activated and the chip plug was tested satisfactory. A borescope inspection was carried out per HG MM 21-1-12. There is evidence of corrosion pitting on at least 3 of the teeth. The manufacturer was informed and asked for the gearbox to be replaced.
