| During troubleshooting of an ammeter fault, it was found that the alternator could not be switched off during ground runs without cycling the master battery switch.
Root cause: Unapproved automotive style alternator had been fitted at an unknown time previously. Approved alternator to be fitted prior to releasing the aircraft back to service. |
